By using Kessavo (this website and calculator), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool. These terms are between you and Kessavo.

What Kessavo is — and isn't

Kessavo is a planning and modeling tool. It projects possible financial outcomes based on the information you provide and a set of assumptions about tax law, Social Security rules, and investment returns that are disclosed in full on the Methodology page.

Kessavo is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and using it does not create an advisory relationship of any kind. The projections it generates are estimates based on simplified models of complex, individual-specific rules — they are not guarantees of any future outcome, and they should not be the sole basis for a decision about when to claim Social Security, retire, withdraw from an account, or take any other financial action. Kessavo is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planning firm. For decisions with material financial consequences, consult a licensed financial planner, tax professional, or attorney — Kessavo will tell you at several points in the tool when this applies.

Your data and inputs

The calculator runs in your browser; see the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what is and isn't collected. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — Kessavo can only be as accurate as the numbers you provide.

Free and Premium tiers

The free tier is available at no cost, as described on the Pricing page. Premium requires payment of the then-current subscription price and is subject to renewal, refund, and cancellation terms to be published before Premium goes live. Features included in each tier may change; we'll make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes in advance.

Beta status

Kessavo is currently in public beta. Features, calculations, and pricing may change, and you may encounter bugs or inaccuracies — if you do, please report them via Feedback. Beta status does not reduce your ability to rely on the disclaimers in this document; if anything, it's a reason for more caution, not less, until the tool has had broader real-world testing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the calculator to develop a competing product by reverse-engineering it, attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or misrepresent Kessavo's output as professional financial advice to a third party (e.g., presenting a Kessavo projection as a certified financial plan).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kessavo is not liable for any financial loss, decision, or outcome resulting from your use of Kessavo, including reliance on any projection, calculation, or piece of guidance the tool provides. Kessavo is provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Kessavo after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
